New Terminal in Indianapolis

August 27, 2012

Dohrn Transfer announces the opening of a new facility in Indianapolis.  Since expanding into the full state of Indiana in March of 2010, Dohrn outgrew the existing 14 door terminal.  August 6, 2012, Dohrn opened the new, 30 dock terminal with easy access to the interstates.
The latest expansion has already improved service in the Indiana.  A larger dock allows for more efficiency and reduced damage.  Along with space, we have also gained a paved yard to reduce dust in the trucks and on the docks.  The location has allowed for additional security measures to be put in place including a lighted, fenced yard and security cameras.
Indiana has also become Dohrn Transfer’s 6th location to include a maintenance shop.  The shop allows for a faster turnaround to maintain and repair equipment.  Previous to this opening, Dohrn relied on outside shops to service equipment.
Expanding the terminal size and adding a shop has already added 5 jobs and is expected to add another 25 jobs in the next year.  Since our footprint in the Midwest grew to include the whole state of Indiana, we have grown rapidly.  Very few Midwest carriers cover the full state of Nebraska expanding all the way over to the full state of Indiana and there is a need for reliable service between these two states.
The new address for Indianapolis is:
3103 West Morris Street
Indianapolis, IN 46241
