EDI
Overview
|

We support all prevalent EDI transaction sets used by the trucking industry, and our files are compliant with ANSI X12 standards.
For the actual file interchange, we support a number of options. We prefer and encourage our customers to use a direct interchange between Dohrn and you, since no costs are incurred on either side for the exchange of data. If this route is chosen, Dohrn can connect to your FTP site, or Dohrn can host an FTP site for you to connect to. We can also optionally provide a security certificate for you to install free of charge that encrypts the data as it travels over the Internet to keep the data private.

We can always use a traditional VAN if no direct options are available. If a VAN is used, Dohrn will be responsible for the charges of moving our data to a VAN, and the customer is responsible for charges incurred as data is retreived from the VAN.

To Set Up EDI With Dohrn
1. From the table below, download the questionnaire for each set you want to set up, fill out the form, and fax or email the form back to us.
Fax: 309.794.1693 Attention: EDI Setup
Email: edi@dohrn.com
2. We will set up your account and create test files. We will then contact you and let you know that we are ready to send or receive test files to resolve any issues with the files before turning the EDI live.
3. Our EDI files are designed to fit ANSI X12 standards. If any alterations need to be made to the file that are beyond or in conflict with the standards, we will determine on a case by case basis if we will be able to comply with the request.
4. Once the test files have been created and tested successfully by both sides, we will switch into live mode and create the EDI files at an agreed upon schedule.
